Overview
I developed a series of three specialized infographics designed to communicate the roles of generals and admirals in the Soviet armed forces, as well as the military awards they received and the contributions of women in the Soviet Union. These infographics were crafted to effectively convey a wide range of data while aligning with the aesthetics and style of various exhibit applications.
Given that the exhibit is world-traveling and multilingual, each graphic needed to be translated and adapted for an initial launch in English, French, German, Hebrew, and Cyrillic.
As these graphics did not exist prior to this project, extensive pre-planning, sketching, and the creation of fully realized concepts were essential for their development.
The project presented several challenges, including the need to navigate a limited understanding of various languages. I had to manage varying character widths and heights, which required meticulous mapping of text-to-element ratios and precise placement within the artboards. Additionally, collaboration with third-party copy editors and content specialists was essential to ensure the accuracy of titles, grammar, arrangement, and readability across all languages.
