Prototyping
An autonomous motion-sensing experience lets visitors view their height, challenges them to jump as high as they can, and measures the difference between the two in this community space.
Controller-free autonomy
Because the exhibition had no tactile buttons or interactive touch displays, we needed to create a logical fuss free way to direct visitors through an autonomous flow that required routine testing both internally and externally with users.
Jump once, measure twice.
Creating an autonomous measuring tool with the Arduino required custom mathematical solutions and testing to closely represent that of a measuring stick to gauge user height and distance from the arduino.
Future-proofing the exhibition for a longer-road map and further custom capabilities for return visits.
A jump ahead.
This exhibition had some experimental research and development to allow users to scan into the exhibition with an RFID band and would host their jump data, like their height at the time of jump and their video capture to allow a comparison of past/present so if you were a child at 7, you could visit say at 13 and see the difference of both your stature and your ability to jump.
